Thoughts on Exodus 33:7

"The main responsibility of a spiritual leader--the Pope, a bishop, a religious superior, a pastor--is to go to the meeting tent to be with God every day....We are not asked to put our trust in human leaders, but in God. But the closer our leaders are to God, the more at home they are in his tent, the more we can put our trust also in them.
"Growth in the knowledge of the faith comes from study, but growth in trust comes only from personal contact with God, which is another name for prayer."
